Snowflakes, TIAS, Heart, Pendants, Doilies, Shamrock, Bracelet, Garter, Bookmarks, Motifs and Edgings

Gwen tatted Snowflake #4 from Festive Snowflakes and Ornaments by Barbara Foster in Lizbeth size 20 white. She's using Manuel size 20 for Jane's TIAS and has the blades done and the handles started.

JulieP used Lizbeth Twirlz 20, colour 402 Purpleberry for her TIAS. She has started some tutorials on her blog so it will be good to watch and see what develops.

Chantal designed this little heart ears ago, to decorate a Valentine card for her sweetheart. 37 years later and they are still together. Isn't love grand?

Manisha tatted this little pendant designed by Corina Meyfeldt, but she doesn't wear pendants and she's wondering about an alternate usage.

Sue had to give Jane's new doublesided motif a try and now all she needs is a chain for it.

Linda has another round added to the Purple Doily by Nancy Tracy but those long chains are hard to master and she hopes the last round will bring it all together.

Grace's UFOs include Jane E's TIAS scissors, Jan Stawasz's Robotki doily, Renulek's 2015 Spring doily, Renulek's 2014 Summer doily, and Land of Laces' Heart doily tat along. After a tatting marathon while her DH was out of town she found herself fed up with the monotonous doilies and wanted something fun to tat. A Celtic knot shamrock adapted from Ruth Perry's pattern that she found on Yarnplayer's blog was a perfect distraction. She was charmed with the way it was made all in one pass in size 8 perle thread. Cute red mittens in size 40 Lizbeth is from Nancy Tracy's bookmark publication, Tat's Where I Stopped and she intends to use them for tree ornaments. Hearts for the Valentine's exchange are Heart O' Daisies from Teri Dusenbury's book and Old Fashioned Heart design by Etha Schuette.  The daisy hearts are size 20 in white Lizbeth and size 10 Red Lizbeth.  The others are pink size 20 and red size 40.

Claire thought on day 8 that Jane's TIAS was going to be a rocket ship, but that idea was squashed on day 9. On day 10 she thought it looked like a lobster, but by day 11 it started to look like the scissors it is.

Diane had some computer problems so she was posting from her phone. Messing around with the computer cut into her tatting time but she did get some done. Only 2 more repeats finished here. Then 3 more. She managed to complete two pattern repeats on round 4 of Renulek's tat-along. An hour on her Jan Stawasz Masterpiece Doily and it's looking good. Sue Anna brought along a fun project for the Tollway Tatters to try, making Froggers, and Carol came up with this design with split rings on either side of the bead. Two more pattern repeats were done on the Jan Stawasz doily. She also did  one more pattern repeat on Renulek's doily.

Fox has 4 more floral repeats to go then a couple of lengthy rows. The Morimoto doily is moving right along but the thread is irritatingly inconsistent in size. She's wondering if she should start the Renulek doily over again as the colours aren't playing well together. She has once again found a nugget of magical info on taming recalcitrant rings and pulling the thread to the left shoulder worked for her. She decided to change the palette for Renulek's doily. Jane's TIAS is done.

Lilas has been sharing her time between tatting and bobbin lace and her most recent tatting pattern is this lovely bracelet. With a little determination she finished this white garter and got it into her shop.

Margaret took the Land of Laces challenge with a heart pattern and her effort has an added tail to make a small bookmark with it. Renulek's new doily is progressing. The February Pinterest challenge is a tatted cross using variation of the pattern by Lily Morales called the Encapsulated Button Sunburst Motif. Round 3 of Renulek's doily being worked in Lizbeth  White and Countryside size 20.

Marie has liked working in pearls so much she did a few more snowflakes. This one is from Happy Occhi, by Petra. Pearly Star pattern is from Tatting Theory, by Jan Stawasz. The book Japanese 2 by Kazuko Goi has some lovely designs like this one. This pearly flower is from Occhi peacock book.

Martha has finished round 3 of Renulek's new doily in size 80 DMC and found her needle case so that she could sew the ends in. Jane's TIAS is also completed in Valdani Pearl Cotton colour V108.

Muskaan got into the heart challenge and one was not enough, so she also made Neo Vintage Heart. She has also posted instructions on how to make it. Then there is the Magic Heart based on the magic motif. The Hold My Hand Heart came next. She has also posted instructions on how to make these hearts. In Sync Heart is another design, also with instructions. She already had Jane's Shuttle Shaped Motifs done and they needed something to show them off, so she tatted Spiral Bookmark by Gina Brummet to go with them. Playing around with techniques she thinks this looks like Two Intertwined Hearts.

Phyllis used size 20 Lisbeth in Spring Flower to make this shuttle tag

HisKid tatted the Twirly 6 Sided Hexagon by Jane Eborall in size 20 Over the Rainbow HDT. This is Jane Eborall's Ferris Wheel Motif tatted in Over the Rainbow HDT, and size 20 Lizbeth Lilac Dk.

Wanda made the Tatted Heart pattern from Handy Hands for Valentine's Day. Wanda's own Queen's Crown Edging is going to be added to several table runners and this trial section made in this size 10 Lizbeth #693 Linen Medium, five repeats are about 11 1/2 inches long. She used two shades of blue, Lizbeth #658 Ocean Turquoise Light and #657 Ocean Turquoise Dark in size 20. Here are the 2 together for size comparison.
