Doilies, Motifs, Bookmarks, Necklaces, Bracelet, Flowers, Owls and Snowflakes

Denise joins the challenge and she has been working from The Tatter's Treasure Chest where she found the pattern for a doily called Primrose which she tatted in Lizbeth size 20 colour #673 Terra Cotta.

Carol tatted another snowflake from Jon's Elegant Tatted Gems book using Lizbeth size 20 Raspberry Frappe. She started another snowflake rose in the same thread and this time it worked.

Marie used two strands of Coats & Clarks copper sewing thread around this mahogany obsidian stone and added copper and glass beads hanging down. Here is the collection of things she has done so far. The carnelian agate is more of a free form design. The broach pattern comes from Teiko Fujito's, Tatting Lace and was done in size 10 peach colour crochet thread. The cross pendant she did for herself has a round carnelian agate at the centre and the middle rings are two strands of silver sewing thread, while the hearts are two strands of copper sewing thread and the outer scroll work are two strand of bright gold sewing thread.

Lyn did the Sabrina Tattered Bookmark Pattern by Kersti Anear and emptied her shuttles tatting butterflies. The blue and white tatted motif comes from the free-tatting web site and the white motif pattern comes from Old and New Designs in tatting --book no.11.

Frivole has a few more rows done on the butterfly doily. She has also posted pictures on starting a chain without a paperclip.

Lelia tatted a motif from Mini Tats by Patti Duff with size 20 LizBeth colour 650. Another motif from Mini Tats was tatted with size 20 LizBeth colour 661.

Jess found a cute lady bug in the mail, a gift from Michelle. The from Beelizabeth she received a bookmark and a purse dangle. The bookmarks inspired her to tat her own. The first one is for herself, tatted in LadyShuttlemaker's Confetti Sprinkles Size 80 with an added split ring tail and a round shell bead around a few other beads. The pink/purple one is her own Tatilicious thread in size 40 and she used a different centre bead in the round shell. The last one is a bracelet in Lizbeth size 80 in silver done with a ceramic medallion, but she's not happy with how the beads look. So her current WIP is the bracelet with the beads cut off.

Linda shares porcelain boxes with flowers. She tatted around the edges and inside with Lizbeth and Sulky gold thread to make some lovely gifts.

Ancolie`s delicate lacy motif is under glass making a beautiful wine bottle coaster.

Anne has been busy at work leaving little time for tatting or blogging, but she did manage to tat a new runner for her mother and a blue poppy earring. She hasn't written the patterns for them yet.

Diane loves the way Mary Konior's Spinning Wheel Glass Mat shows off hand dyed threads like Teenybopper from Yarnplayer. The other four motifs here are from Occhi, the Peacock Book. Kersti's Stumpy was tatted in Sulky Blendable Kyoto Garden colour.

Fox has started another 100 motifs. The tatting in this bit uses colours very appropriate for spring. In preparation for the peacock she thought she would get in some practice with onion rings using Roger aka Freedman’s pattern tatting with Tatskool’s Spice Collection HDT. The pink and green motif is itty bitty done in size 80 thread. She started a Tischband leaf following Frivole's instructions, but seems to have gone astray somewhere. Then she started a motif from her new book with Lizbeth #40 which she found much more civilized. She got side tracked by a Judy Banashek motif tatted in some HDT by Jess. She's back to tatting Tischband flowers.

Kelly tatted Nancy Tracy's owl from her newsletter of October 2011 in size 20 Lizbeth. The bookmark pattern by LaRae Mikulecky is made in size 20 HDT by LadyShuttleMaker. This motif with simple rings and chains has 4 different ways to add beads to it and she'll be teaching it at the Fringe tatting weekend in September.

Marty tatted another Sternenhimmel (Starry Sky) motif from Susanne Schwenke's book SpitzenKreationen. The star-shaped motif from the same book is made with two strands of Sulky blendables thread in green shades.

Vanessa tatted Mary Konior's Spinning Wheel Glass Mat which she has designated her first mug rug.

Wanda was working on another edging, but it didn't come out as planned, so she added a centre and now it's a lovely motif done in Lizbeth #163 Blue Ice in size 40.
